Report: Braun Strowman to main event Clash Of Champions PPV

We noted before how AJ Styles seemed to be getting involved in a rivalry with Braun Strowman in near future after Styles challenged Strowman for a US title match.

However, a latest report from Wrestling Observer Radio is suggesting that this won’t be the case and there is a different championship rivalry Strowman will be getting involved in.

According to Dave Meltzer, the current plans are for the Universal Champion Seth Rollins to defend his title against the Monster Among Men in the main event of the upcoming Clash Of Champions PPV.

This report is interesting as AJ Styles also seemed to be getting involved with Rollins on this week’s Raw and his match with Rollins on the show was the original reason behind Strowman’s involvement in this storyline.

Now it would be interesting to see how the upcoming US title match leads to Braun’s involvement in the Universal title picture and reported match which is planned for the upcoming PPV.

Braun has been paying dues for a long time now. It seems daft to have a guy that big and not give him a run with at least one of the championships.

  • Kayfabe_Is_Dead

Wondering if they’ll try to turn Braun heel again for this. While he is destined for greatness, why not just have him win the US Title while we’re waiting for a Universal run, paying his dues like the old days…?

  • Nicholas Giambattista

It really is amazing that Braun Strowman hasn’t got even a IC or Untied States title run. But looks to be the title he is going for.

So does this mean that poor Braun is going to have to put over Seth clean or will there be a disqualification finish involved here so that Seth keeps the strap.
