Report: Interesting detail for upcoming WWE draft

WWE will be holding another draft on October 11th and 14th. The company will be trying something completely different.

On this week’s RAW, the commentary team referenced how representatives from Fox and USA Network will be present for the draft. It seems there is more to this than just an appearance.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided an explanation for WWE’s plans for the upcoming draft episodes on October 11th and 14th. The company will have the network representatives make the decisions. They will pick the drafts instead of authority figures from WWE as they do not want authority figures anymore.

It is to be noted that Vince McMahon was shown how the NFL Draft looks like. It is likely this influenced his decision for this year’s draft.

Oh, trust me. I’m absolutely sure it’s going to be just random “celebrities” reading pre-selected names off a list.

The problem is, with proper sports it has no effect on games, but as WWE is predetermined how the hell could they write any stories if it was done genuinely? Any plans already in place would have to be scrapped. The last draft was a total mess and hence we got the awful wildcard rule, this draft will hopefully be meaningful in that it will hopefully fix what they broke last time.

The only way this would hold -any- meaning is if the draft is done legitimately. Otherwise, it’s just random dudes reading names.
