Report: Possible reason for Kabuki Warriors firing Paige as manager

Paige returned to RAW as the manager for Kabuki Warriors on this week’s RAW, but that did not last long. Asuka spit green mist in Paige’s face and signified that they no longer needing her services. This was a big heel move on their part.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about this angle. Meltzer thinks it is just a way to get them heel heat as they have consistently been cheered at house shows, even in Australia when they were facing the local IIconics. So something was needed to turn them heel, even though Meltzer considers Kairi Sane as one of the best suited to be a babyface in the entire company.

The Kabuki Warriors are the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and will be facing off against Dakota Kai and Tegan Nox on NXT.

Sno I’m referring to the name.. vince has a habit of stereotyping other wrestlers

  • Keith Learmonth

How can it be racist when it was Asuka’s idea?

What’s next? “Gay pride is homophobic”?

  • Rob ‘Richard Hammond’ Picken

The whole kabuki thing is racist anyway

  • JAckh45

No one cared about Paige, she hasnt been seen for months so the whole “OMG how will they cope without her” statement means nothing.
The less Paige on TV the better.

I see. Slang terms often change through generations. I’m starting to show my age. Apologies.

Bro. Savage is a good thing. When you make a good diss on someone, or a burn, it’s considered “savage”.

Your not being called a savage, like a monster. Your seriously getting complimented. In a millennial way but still

  • Soulshroude

Savage? I’m not the imbecile millennial using hashtags on a stupid ass site.

Facing a heel team like the iconics, does not a change to a heel team make. I cheered only because I simply don’t like Paige. She needs to go back to widdling Xavier’s Wood.

Kabuki Warriors is an extremely bad gimmick and only makes fun of the ladies. They could come out as Giesha and no one would give a flying rats ass.

It was to get heat on them … that is probably one of the biggest “No spit Sherlock” statements Meltzer has ever made.
What else does that muppet think people thought it was done for?

just pair them up with Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn when they defend the belts on SmackDown
