Report: Tyson Kidd Told By Doctors That His Neck Injury Could Have Been Fatal

– While Tyson Kidd’s neck injury was publically known as really bad, no one knew that it could have been fatal.

According to sources, while Kidd was in the hospital in Texas, doctors first told him he was lucky to be alive.

Following his surgery, he was told by the doctors that it was because the injury was so high in the neck that in most cases such an injury would be fatal, but he survived because he was an athlete who had such a muscular neck.

Doctors had to put 16 staples, four screws and a rod in his neck.

As noted, Kidd suffered the injury when he took a muscle buster from Samoa Joe during a dark match several weeks back before a Monday night RAW TV taping.

– WWE did have Cody Rhodes at this past week’s TV tapings but didn’t use him. There’s speculation about him keeping the Stardust gimmick, but no official word on if WWE will keep the gimmick on Rhodes or not.
