Report: WWE in secret talks for possible Ring of Honor buyout

According to a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, the WWE and Sinclair Broadcast Group have been in talks since January regarding a possibly buyout of Ring Of Honor (ROH).

WWE has a ‘full takeover’ of the company planned if a deal is made, which means ROH shows would likely air on the WWE Network. If the WWE does purchases ROH, however, it is not yet known if they will keep the whole current roster onboard. The report also stressed that a deal is not on the table just yet, and that ‘discussions are simply that.’

If either side can’t come to an agreement on specific terms it is likely the deal will fall apart. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more…

    Pretty cool notion that they could actually recognize all the former ROH World Champions currently in WWE.

    Daniel Bryan might have to pick a new place to have his comeback match next year if WWE buys ROH.

    If they really wanted to make it easy they would just buy TNA and have the lawsuit against the Hardy’s dropped.
