Retired champion returning to Impact Wrestling

Retired Wrestler Shantelle Taylor is on her way back to Impact Wrestling after 9 years of absence from in-ring competition according to PWinsider.com.

The female star made her wrestling debut back in 2003 and after competing in various indie promotions, she was signed to a development contract by WWE in May 2006.

However, nothing came out of her run with the company, and Taylor was released from the promotion in June 2007, after which she had decided to leave the pro wrestling world.

Though she was brought back by TNA officials when they contacted the former champion and offered her a contract with the promotion.

She made her debut for the promotion in 2008 and went on to win multiple titles in the promotion including the Knockouts Championship and TNA’s version of the Women’s tag team titles too.

Her contract with the company expired in December 2010 and she left the promotion and the wrestling business altogether after that. Since then, Shantelle Taylor has worked fulltime as a firefighter, pursued a degree in psychology and started a family as well.
