The Revival’s Scott Dawson could be out 6 months due to bicep injury

It’s never a good time to get injured. With the news of Bayley’s separated shoulder and being pulled from her planned SummerSlam title match people couldn’t imagine more bad news coming out of the Raw brand today. If you were under that assumption, then you were dead wrong.

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting The Revival’s Scott Dawson is injured and may require surgery. It hasn’t been confirmed but the word is they are kicking around surgery options for a possible bicep injury. This has to be the worst timing for The Revival becuase they were penciled in to compete against The Hardy Boyz and The Club at SummerSlam in a #1 contender match for the Raw Tag Team Titles.

We can only assume Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are going to win those Raw Tag Team Titles at SummerSlam too seeing how Sheamus is set to take some time off so he can film a movie. Therefore a 2/3 Shield vs any of the guys in the #1 contender match certainly sounds like a good time.

But with this recent report it appears as though the plans for that triple threat tag match might need to be scrapped or at least altered. If Dawson doesn’t require surgery he could be back within six weeks, but if he requires surgery The Top Guy could be out up to six months. This would not only mean he’ll miss SummerSlam, but Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, and possibly even WrestleMania 34. August is not a good time to get seriously injured for a WWE Superstar.

We really hope Scott is able to execute some Top Guy healing powers and come back much sooner than projected. The Revival did compete at Saturday’s WWE house show but Dawson’s arm was heavily taped.

Only time will tell how bad this injury is, but it seems like The Revival just can’t catch a break ever since joining the main roster after WrestleMania.
