Rey Mysterio Huge WrestleMania Title Match Rumored

Could Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik be taking home gold at WrestleMania 37? It’s entirely possible. More and more matches are being added to the ‘Show of Shows’ every week as it was recently announced that the Street Profits will be taking on The Dirty Dawgs [Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler]. However – as Ringside News is reporting, it is indicated that more teams, such as Rey & Dominik Mysterio as well as Otis & Chad Gable are slated to be added into the fold. WrestleMania 37 is scheduled to take place as a two-night event on April 10 and 11, 2021 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. It will be be the first major WWE event, as well as the first WWE WrestleMania to be streamed exclusively on the Peacock streaming service in the United States. Vince McMahon recently ‘buried’ this Rey Mysterio title match.

In other news concerning Rey Mysterio, during a recent edition of ‘Talk Is Jericho’, AEW Producer Dean Malenko sat down with the former WWE Champion to discuss how he believes Rey Fenix is a modern day version of Mysterio. Credit to Fightful for the transcription below.

“Oh, for sure [he’s a modern day Rey Mysterio]. He’s really understanding the art of selling and letting things digest with the audience. When I first came here, he was all over the place. Slowly but surely, he’s starting to grasp that. When you’re writing something, there’s a period or comma to stop. Before it was one long (sentence) with no periods and all the words jumbled together. He’s really improved on that and you can see it. He’s one of the top guys in the company. Every week I watch him, I get more amazed. He’s like Rey, a rare gift where his body motions and body language get sympathy with the audience,” said Malenko.
