Rey Mysterio plans on giving up mask

Rey Mysterio’s mask is symbolic and he has had feuds over the mask throughout his career. However, Mysterio’s son Dominick is now a part of WWE television. If reports are to be believed, then Dominick has already struck a deal with WWE.

Dominick isn’t who he used to be during the feud between Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio, as he has had pro wrestling training and might go on to carry on his father’s legacy.

The Gorilla Position noted that Mysterio’s plan for his son might see Rey give his mask to his son. This could see Mysterio give over his famous mask to his son after a match in the ring.

“Apparently what Rey wants is to pass the mask on. And that’s what he said to WWE that he wants eventually for Dominick to wear the mask. He wants a match with Dominick where he loses and he passes the mask on.”

Rey Mysterio will be challenging Samoa Joe for the United States Title at Money In The Bank. While Rey’s career isn’t over yet, he has stated in the past that his days in the ring are limited.

It will be interesting to see WWE actually pull off this father vs son match in the future.

Because you’re pushing a bullshiit globalist view like somehow everything should matter to me. It doesn’t. I only have so many hours in a day. I can only watch so much wrestling. I follow the wrestling here because that’s what I like, that’s what I know, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Just like there’s nothing wrong with people in Belfast not caring about ROH or people in Sydney caring about Impact. That doesn’t make them xenophobic. Do I wish that Vince would drop dead? Yep! What value does he have? He still books like it’s 2003. He thinks charlotte matters. She doesn’t. You have no value. You are ignorant and hateful. You are worthless hypocrite and make the world a worse place.

One, why do American think everything comes down to politics? Grow up you moron. And two, you call me hate filled yet you are the one constantly wishing death on wrestlers and people you don’t like.
And once again, “I don’t give a crap about wrestling in other countries” proves what I am saying about you. You are ignorant of the world outside your window. I was not just talking about foreign promotions, or foreign wrestlers, I was talking about how WWE and other US based wrestling promotions might just have bigger audiences than morons like you who play up to the dumb American cliche. Thank god their are intelligent Americans on this site that prove you to be the minority.
Go back to your pathetic little hate filled xenophobic bubble, you midless piece of crap.

  • Mike the Ike

Fuuck off and die you piece of crap. I am not xenophobic, you hate filled liberal. I just don’t give a crap about wrestling in other countries. I don’t have to. I get to pick and choose the wrestling I like.

  • CC

And there you go, proving what a blinkered idiot you are and completely ignoring all my points. Go back to living in your little xenophobic bubble.

He is too fat. You say luchadore, I expect someone under 200lbs that can go like Juvi or Kidman or WCW Rey. What do I mean by “this country”? I don’t give the first damn of Buhpinder can draw in India because I don’t follow Indian wrestling and therefore don’t care. I don’t care if Ultimo Negro can pack the house in Mexico City. I care about who can draw here. And Dominic will never draw dime one in this country. AJ wasn’t any better in Japan than he was in TNA, it’s just there were more eyes on the product because of Bullet Club.

What does that have to do with anything? You said he is too fat to be a luchador, that is what I am calling you out on.

Super Crazy may not have been a draw (which you can say for probably 95% of all wrestlers), but if you ever watched him in ECW or even to a lesser extent in WWW, you would know that he put on great matches. Being a draw means nothing as some of the biggest draws in wrestling history have been known for being not that amazing in the ring. Cena, Hogan and Reigns (yes yes, its debatable as to whether he is a draw) are all very limited in skill compared to many wrestlers, yet they out draw them all the time.

Your whole “he is too fat to be a luchador” and he will not draw are totally unconnected things.

And hey, what do you mean “this country”? There is a whole bloody world of wresting out there, and let me tell you that the US might have the biggest wrestling promotion out there, but the real money is made over seas. Not all of us live in the USA and not all of us give a damn about how popular it is over there.

AJ Styles made his name in the USA in TNA and many other smaller promotions, but it was not until he went to Japan that he truly became a mega star, and that is why WWE went from not giving a damn about him to going all out to getting him on their books.

  • Mike the Ike

Tell me about how the money he drew in this country.

  • CC

Too fat? You ever see a guy called Super Crazy?

  • Mike the Ike

Dominic will never draw a dime. He’s too fat to be a luchadore and too stupid looking to be any type of threat.

“Dominick isn’t who he used to be during the feud between Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio”

No way … you mean he is not still a small child?
    What a frikkin ridiculous statement.
Harrison, your writing is getting worse and worse.
