Rey Mysterio plans on giving up mask

Rey Mysterio’s mask is symbolic and he has had feuds over the mask throughout his career. However, Mysterio’s son Dominick is now a part of WWE television. If reports are to be believed, then Dominick has already struck a deal with WWE.

Dominick isn’t who he used to be during the feud between Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio, as he has had pro wrestling training and might go on to carry on his father’s legacy.

The Gorilla Position noted that Mysterio’s plan for his son might see Rey give his mask to his son. This could see Mysterio give over his famous mask to his son after a match in the ring.

“Apparently what Rey wants is to pass the mask on. And that’s what he said to WWE that he wants eventually for Dominick to wear the mask. He wants a match with Dominick where he loses and he passes the mask on.”

Rey Mysterio will be challenging Samoa Joe for the United States Title at Money In The Bank. While Rey’s career isn’t over yet, he has stated in the past that his days in the ring are limited.

It will be interesting to see WWE actually pull off this father vs son match in the future.
