Rey Mysterio Removed From WWE Raw

There is absolutely no doubt that Rey Mysterio is one of the most popular and greatest luchadors to have ever stepped foot inside the world of professional wrestling and remains a beloved Superstar in WWE. On the WWE WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view, Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik Mysterio challenged Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles. They would go on to defeat Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles and become the first-ever father and son duo to win the WWE tag team titles in the company’s history. Rey Mysterio’s daughter Aalyah Mysterio is also gone for a bad reason.

The two lost the titles eventually and since then they have been working together on Monday Night RAW following last year’s edition of WWE Draft. Rey Mysterio has worked hard to get where he is in professional wrestling, as he worked for over three decades. He still had very humble beginnings as he started wrestling at a very young age.

Rey Mysterio was advertised as this week’s opponent for Veer Mahaan, but he was unable to appear for the show and his son Dominik took his place. Dave Meltzer discussed Rey Mysterio’s absence on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. It was due to a medical reason.
“It’s a medical issue. It wasn’t false advertising or they changed their minds. He was unavailable tonight. So they put Dominik in the place and Dominik just got destroyed. They could probably do Rey in a week or two.”
