Rey Mysterio shares emotional first trip to Eddie Guerrero’s grave

Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio

Back in 2005, the wrestling world was silenced by the devastating loss of Eddie Guerrero. Regarded as one of the greatest of all time, even to this day, the fans have never forgotten how Latino Heat brought smiles to their faces during his career.

His best friend, Rey Mysterio, recently posted a picture of himself visiting Guerrero’s grave, revealing that it was the first time he’d actually been able to visit since his funeral.

Mysterio said he always had a hard time trying to visit his friend, as he felt memories of that day would return. However, thirteen years later, he managed to finally take the journey.

Always had a hard time wanting to visit Eddie & found myself cowardly refusing it due to the pain & memories from that day………Finally this past Monday, after 13yrs, I had the courage to visit him and have a one on one moment with him….&…….exactly what I feared of happening, happened. Memories from that day were flashing through my head but his presence was much stronger and [I] was able to cope and maintain my composure.

Mysterio went on to talk about how he inspired so many people, including future wrestlers and fans who never had a chance to meet him.
