Rhea Ripley mourns death of grandmother

‘The Eradicator’ recently took to her Twitter account where she revealed that her grandmother, who she called nonna, passed away. In case you didn’t know, the word for grandmother in Italian is nonna.

Along with some photos of herself with her nonna, Rhea Ripley also dropped a heartfelt caption to explain her grief to fans. She was able to say goodbye in a touching tweet, even though she couldn’t be there in person.

“Thursday night I lost one of my favorite people. Nonna, Im going to miss your strong loving hugs & your little sassy cheeky attitude. It’s so hard saying goodbye, but being able to see you again in Feb was the highlight of my year

I miss you & I love you with all my heart.”

At WrestleMania 39, Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte Flair to become SmackDown Women’s Champion. And now the Australian star has named two huge challenges that she wants to face.

Speaking on After The Bell, Rhea Ripley says she still wants her singles match with Beth Phoenix but if she can’t have her then there’s another WWE Hall of Famer she wants in the ring:

“I think one of the main ones is, I want my singles match with Beth Phoenix. I want my singles match, not a tag, a singles. But if she doesn’t fit the mold of what we’re going with, and we’re going with first time ever, I want to say Lita. I think that would be a lot of fun.”
