Known for her ruthless tactics and aggressive wrestling style, Ripley recently defeated Zelina Vega in a match at WWE Backlash. Following her victory, she was interviewed backstage where she expressed her delight in silencing Puerto Rican fans who had been rooting for Vega.
Ripley’s feud with Vega began after she won the Smackdown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39. Vega was a member of The Judgment Day’s faction, which was engaged in a rivalry with Latino World Order, the group to which Ripley belonged. Their rivalry culminated in a highly anticipated match at the WWE Backlash Premium Live Event, where Ripley put her championship title on the line against Vega.
Despite Vega’s best efforts and the immense support from her fans, she was ultimately unable to defeat Ripley and claim the title. In her post-match interview, Ripley made it clear that she was unfazed by the strong support that Vega received from the Puerto Rican fans. She stated that she did not care about the fans’ opinions and that she was solely focused on winning. According to Ripley, her victory over Vega was particularly satisfying because it silenced the fans who had been rooting for Vega.
