WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley recently took to her Instagram account and posted a selfie from her bedroom as she hyped up WWE Elimination Chamber 2024.
Next year’s Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event is set to take place in Perth, Australia which is Ripley’s homeland. She is quite excited that Australia is hosting such a massive event yet again.
Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley recently talked about the origins of her Nightmare nickname. Even though many wrestling fans have taken to calling Rhea Ripley “Mami,” the opponents of the WWE Women’s World Champion still view her as “The Nightmare.”
Speaking on the Today Show in Australia, Ripley revealed that she nicknamed herself “The Nightmare” basing it off of Motionless In White lyrics.
“I sort of give it to myself because I thought it was very fitting,” she said. “I got it from Motionless In White. One of their songs said, ‘I’m the nightmare that will haunt you in the night,’ and I was like, ‘That’s amazing.’ they’re my favorite band and I look a lot like Chris Motionless, who is the lead singer, so I thought it was very fitting to call myself ‘The Nightmare,’ especially with the way that I handle people in the ring because every time they step in there, it’s their worst nightmare.”
Chris Motionless and Motionless In White currently perform Rhea Ripley’s theme song. Ripley’s theme song was changed when she joined Judgment Day. Prior to that, her theme song was sung by Ash Costello of New Year’s Day.
