Buddy Matthews, formerly known as Buddy Murphy in WWE, joined AEW in 2022 after his release from WWE the previous year. He is currently a member of The House Of Black faction and has been enjoying success as the AEW Trios Champion. However, recently he made comments about his insecurities regarding his real-life relationship with Rhea Ripley.
Matthews and Ripley have been in a committed relationship for quite some time, despite working for different wrestling companies. They have often expressed their love and support for each other on social media. However, due to Ripley’s on-screen relationship with Dominik Mysterio in WWE, many fans and even fellow wrestlers have playfully teased Matthews about his insecurities in their relationship.
In response to one of Ripley’s recent social media posts, Matthews commented that his insecurities were “playing up again.” Ripley herself responded to his comments in a lighthearted manner, taking it as a joke.
It’s worth noting that these comments appear to be playful banter between the couple, showcasing their ability to have fun and laugh at themselves despite the challenges of their respective wrestling careers and public scrutiny. Their relationship seems to be strong, as they continue to support each other’s professional endeavors while maintaining a loving partnership.
