Rhyno provides update on his status

Rhyno Raw

We noted before how Rhyno seemed to have retired from Raw after losing in a match to Heath Slater during last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

However later it was reported that the former ECW Star still has dates left with the company and despite the reports of retirement, he is booked for live events until January.

Now the WWE Star himself has provided an update on the situation and releasing a video on WWE’s YouTube channel he claimed that he has no plans of retirement:

“I am not retiring, I have no plans on retiring, I am fulfilling my contractual obligation with WWE with my December and January live events. I’m going to continue, and after that, I don’t know. Whether I compete in WWE or somewhere else, your guess is as good as mine.”

It’s possible that since his contract was coming up, WWE decided to use it in storyline and write him off while he still has dates left but this theory is yet to be confirmed. You can check out the video Rhyno posted below:

WWE should have done more with Rhyno over his career in my opinion, especially since WWE like big built guys (which he was) and how he was billed as “the rookie monster” in ECW basically destroying people. But because he was never a “wwe guy” he was basically doomed from day one, they could have at least put the IC belt on him (yes they gave him a U.S Title run, but I’ve never considered it a major championship in the WWE)

Have to say I called it last week that this was not his retirement. That said, I still think he deserved a better send off from WWE TV, but going on how The Dudleys went out, this is no surprise.
