Ric Flair to AEW for a last match?

Flair recently obtained his release from WWE after he had requested for the same. Speaking on his The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T commented on what The Nature Boy could do next, noting that he doesn’t see him as a manager or office type. Despite his age and health concerns, Booker T believes that if it was up to Flair, he would be getting back in the ring. Triple H Major WWE Firings Rumor Leaks

Here is what he said:

“My thing is this, and I’m going to let you take this into the break, Ric Flair is not the managerial type of guy. It’s just not his role. As well as, Ric Flair is not one of your guys that wants to be in the office, coming to work every day, wearing a suit and going into the office. That’s not Ric Flair. Ric Flair’s a party guy. That’s just his nature. You saw him on Triller, he’s all about having some fun. Now my thing is this, I talk to Ric Flair on a regular — usually on a regular occasion, I don’t know how often I’m going to see him now, but Ric Flair told me, he said, ‘Book, I’m never going to retire.’ He said, ‘If I could be in that ring right now, that’s where I’d be.’ So I think Ric Flair may be looking at one last run.”

Flair was last seen competing inside the squared circle back in 2011 but has been used in various on-screen roles in WWE since rejoining the company in 2012. Prior to his release, he was involved in a storyline with Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair in January and February, but the angle was dropped when Evans became pregnant and was removed from television. Flair had also lambasted the storyline stating that he was uncomfortable.
