Ric Flair on Returning to WWE TV, Wishing He Could Induct Charlotte Into HOF, Not Being a Fan of the Cruiserweights

WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair has released another episode of his podcast The Ric Flair Show. You can check out some highlights from the episode here:

On returning to WWE TV and the Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks feud:

“Well, I think I’m back on TV now. It hasn’t happened officially, but as I told [Charlotte], it’s not about winning and losing, it’s about having the greatest match and every time they work, the bar goes up. They had the greatest match I’ve ever seen in my [life]. I mean, it was so real. I mean, the kendo stick. I’m so proud of both of them. Of course, I’m partial to [Charlotte] because she is my daughter. But, God, Sasha took it too, boy. They did it. And the big thing that I thought was great, on the moonsault, I’m saying this to you, Sasha Banks, if you hear me, it’s a big deal to catch [Charlotte] on that moonsault because if she doesn’t, she crashes. That is a cement floor. That wasn’t a mat. So, what’s her name, I mean, Sasha took the bump, took the hit. I mean, it was unbelievable. I was so proud to be there, so honored to be in my hometown. I got to go out at the end and I thought, once again, the women’s division with Charlotte, Ashley, my daughter, Sasha, the bar has been raised so high.” Flair added, “I want to live long enough to induct her into the Hall Of Fame. She is in such a great place.”

On not being a fan of the Cruiserweights:

“I hate to say it, I have so much respect for the cruiserweights as athletes, but it’s not what I’m looking for. It’s not what I look for to watch. I just feel like, first of all, [Charlotte] is a better athlete than the cruiserweights. Does that make sense? The cruiserweights are great, they’re athletic, really nice guys, but they can’t have a match better than Sasha and Charlotte.”
