Ric Flair drops in-ring video

Flair retired from active in-ring competition several years ago due to poor health. The 16-time world champion has had multiple surgical procedures performed on him over the years. Flair recently took to social media to tell to share a video of him training with Jay Lethal. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion is seen taking several bumps in the clip shared on Twitter.

“Someone Had The Audacity This Weekend To Ask Me If I Can Still Do This. I Said “Really??? Naitch Don’t Play!” WOOOOO! @TheLethalJay”

Previously, speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, Flair argued that he’s currently in better shape than he was when he wrestled on the final episode of WCW Nitro in 2001, noting:

“Most assuredly, and a lot of conversation. That talk hasn’t happened, but could I do it? Absolutely. I’m in better shape now than I was when Sting and I wrestled the last match on Nitro. WWE won’t let me do anything, even though I’m released. I understand, they have so much liability and I told them I would sign anything, but nobody wants me to die on their watch. I’d rather die in the ring. If I have to go. I’d rather not jump off the 19th floor or spend another 31 days in the ICU.”

We will have to see if the veteran star is able to pull off an in-ring return.
