Triple H recently revealed that he is retiring from wrestling after going through a serious cardiac arrest. He won’t be able to wrestle anymore and has a defibrillator in him.

Ric Flair has worked with Triple H for years and both have been friends inside and outside of the ring too. When “The Nature Boy” heard the unfortunate news that his friend Triple H won’t be able to wrestle anymore, he said he felt ‘sick.’

Speaking to 105.3 The Fan, Flair said:

“I’m sick that he’s not going to have that last match, to be honest with you. But his legacy is in place, and he will be highly thought of and highly remembered forever.

But I do wish he had one more match. I just want him to make an appearance. I think the wrestling fans need a live appearance from him, to hear it in his own words, just in front of 80,000 people, one time.”

Triple H serves as the WWE Executive President of Global Talent Strategy & Development. There were speculations and talk about his future at the company. Triple H cleared any rumors and said that his foot is not off the gas but he has a new role. He is fully focused on recruiting and developing WWE’s talents in the future, even though he has to step back in some manner.

Hunter had plans to compete at WrestleMania 38, but they were ixnayed because of his serious cardiac event in the fall of next year. WrestleMania will take place on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3 from AT& T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

In a recent discussion with CBS Sports, Charlotte Flair, who will be defending her championship against Ronda Rousey at WWE WrestleMania 38 discussed how she feels she is carrying her father’s legacy. 4

“Oh my gosh, he is always crying, That’s what it means. Always crying. Oh. You know, I’m his kid. I’m carrying his legacy. I can’t imagine what that feels like for a parent.”

She continued: “My dad never main-evented WrestleMania,” she said when asked to compare and contrast their careers. “In ways, I want to be like my dad. I wish I had like a quarter of his charisma… He is so unapologetically him and he was from an early age. I’m just now starting to figure that out in myself. He never shied away from who he was.”
