Ring of Honor reportedly planning to ‘revamp’ shortly

With the COVID-19 pandemic still creating chaos to independent and major promotions there’s still a level of doubt to how and when things will be back to ‘normal.’ One of the brands looking to ‘revamp’ is Ring of Honor.

Fightful Select recently reported that the brand are looking to: “rejuvenate the brand as a whole from top to bottom.” This apparently also includes the ROH Women’s division. This has been headed up by Jonathan Gresham since the start of 2020.

There were plans ‘in motion’ for this to happen pre-pandemic; but these will apparently be implemented “closer to the end of the year now.”

Fightful also confirmed in their report that “Delirious has been reaching out to wrestlers and speaking with them directly about possibly working with ROH. We have no update on Marty Scurll’s status with Ring of Honor as of now.”

With Ring of Honor being a subsidiary of the Sinclair Broadcast Group? They’re essentially a sleeping giant with a huge amount of potential going forward. Whether the company can finally get past the ‘rut’ they’ve been stuck in? Remains to be seen.
