Road Dogg responds to the booking of Becky Lynch

With a full-fledged heel turn at SummerSlam, Becky Lynch has gotten the attention of the WWE Universe again. The Lass Kicker’s new attitude has revitalized her character, and she seems to be on her way to another title run on Smackdown Live.

However, Lynch’s turn at SummerSlam wasn’t exactly received well by the WWE Universe. While the crowd in attendance erupted in cheers when she laid out her former best friend, many fans felt that Lynch was the rightful babyface in this situation, not Charlotte.

“Road Dogg” Brian James is known for openly discussing storylines with fans on Twitter, especially those not exactly happy with the product. He responded to multiple fans recently in regards to Lynch’s heel turn.

When asking why the creative team doesn’t listen to the fans in regards to Lynch, Road Dogg said:

We’re listening. What would you have us do? She’s in the best women’s story, arguably the best story going today. What else can we do?

Another fan said that Becky would receive a huge pop upon winning the Smackdown Live Women’s Championship, but the former Tag Champion said that “Pops don’t pay the bills.”

Road Dogg said that he doesn’t consider Becky a true heel, instead looking at her as more of a badass character. He then asked that fans simply pick a side in regards to Charlotte or Becky.

What do you think of Brian James’ defense of Becky’s booking? Let us know in the comments below.

  • Just one guy

I have no respect for Road Dogg after the way he has booked Charlotte and Asuka. No one wants to see Charlotte as champ. No one. Asuka should never have lost to Charlotte and damn sure should not have lost to Carmella twice and then disappeared for six weeks, but I guess this is what we have to look forward to with co-branded PPVs, if you’re not in a title picture, you have no storyline on TV and will just be gone forever and a day. That’s what they did to Joe, that’s what they did to Asuka. It’s pathetic and lazy.

Road Dogg is just too much of a company man these days. You could argue with him all day and he would still say black was white if WWE told him to.
