Roman Reigns added to Royal Rumble match

Roman Reigns

WWE confirmed via the following tweet that after losing the Intercontinental Championship to Miz this past Monday, Roman Reigns will be entering this year’s Royal Rumble match:

As we noted before, the plans for WrestleMania haven’t changed and Reigns is still expected to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at the upcoming PPV.

So despite the reports that a SmackDown Star is expected to win the Rumble this Sunday, Roman is still a heavy favorite to win the bout. After the announcement below is the updated list of participants confirmed for the men’s Royal Rumble match:

Randy Orton

Shinsuke Nakamura

John Cena

Finn Balor

Baron Corbin

Matt Hardy

Bray Wyatt

Aiden English

Apollo Crews

Titus O’Neil

The Miz

Tye Dillinger

Big E

Kofi Kingston

Xavier Woods

Roman Reigns

  • Nicholas Giambattista

I am actually picking the Miz to win the Royal Rumble. Because I think he is the WWE top heel right now also he is due.

The Rumble should not be about letting guys like Reigns win, it should be about help push mid card guys up the card. When it comes to the Universal title, there is zero reason for Reigns to win the rumble to challenge for it, as they can easily build a feud for him with Lesnar (the most likely winner this weekend) beforehand.
Having someone like Ziggler, Miz or Nakamura etc win it, makes a lot more sense for a title shot, because very few people will expect it (although Nakamura is a lot of peoples personal choice).
