Roman Reigns ‘Copied’ By Top AEW Star

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has one of the unique move-sets in the company. One of his signature moves, the Superman Punch is a spectacular move. While, it looks amazing when he executeds on his opponents, it is not an easy move to perform.

 


 

He has been featured in the WWE games over the few years and recently AEW star Colt Cabana recently spoke to Fightful about Reigns’ Superman Punch.

The AEW star revealed that he did some motion capture work for WWE’s video games. Recently, an excerpt from the interview was released on Fightful Select, in which Colt Cabana revealed many details about how the WWE’s wrestling games were made. WWE ‘Buried’ Stars After Alexa Bliss Breakup

He also listed the tough moves that the motion capture artists struggled with. The three moves that were mentioned – Evan Bourne’s (Matt Sydal in AEW) version of the Shooting Star Press, Melina’s Splits, and Roman Reigns’ Superman Punch.

It was noted that motion capture artists couldn’t pull off the three moves, with the’ Superman Punch being the toughest.

It was noted that The Tribal Chief had ‘some unique footwork spots’ in his Superman Punch, which was challenging to replicate. The former WWE stars Adam Pearce and Sonjay Dutt had reportedly also tried to execute but could not do it.

He modified the famous Muay Thai strike with his unconventional footwork and it is a perfect combination which The Tribal Chief has been using to knock his opponent down.
