Roman Reigns ‘Disrespects’ Fired WWE Stars

WWE Superstar Roman Reigns is certainly one of the top Superstars in the company right now and has been on a solid run as the WWE Universal Champion, but he is losing his top spot to two WWE Smackdown women. Roman Reigns successfully defended his WWE Universal Championship against WWE Hall Of Famer Edge and Daniel Bryan in a triple threat match in the main event of Night Two of WrestleMania 37.

Samoa Joe was among the several WWE Superstars who were recently let go by the company. Among the Superstars released included Peyton Royce, Billie Kay, Mojo Rawley and others. Many fans were simply shocked at WWE releasing Samoa Joe, who had become a staple as part of the WWE commentary team for over a year now.

John Cena’s father recently spoke to  Boston Wrestling MWF’s Dan Mirade, where he said Samoa Joe vs Roman Reigns would have been great.

“No, I’d like to see Joe and Roman,” he said. “It makes more sense. We could build a beautiful storyline around that. It would’ve been really the battle of the Princes or the battle of The Tribal Chiefs. I can see that storyline going on for two, three, maybe even four months. But then again, I don’t write for them [WWE].”

Reigns took a shot at Bryan, who is fired from Smackdown, and other ‘old’ stars leaving, in a new video, “Already putting in the work, just a few hours removed on Saturday morning. Last night, I achieved greatness once again. As I’m hitting this cardio, I’m sitting here thinking, the whole world should be thanking me. Daniel Bryan, you should be thanking me. I’m a man of my word, I did what I said I was going to do. Not only did I give the audience what they need, I got rid of you and I’m driving us forward, taking care of the future, getting rid of the old. I gave you what you wanted. You made it clear; you were looking for a new door. What better way to go through the new one when the old one hits you in the ass? That’s what I did, I closed this door on you.

We’re going to live the ‘Show up and Win’ mantra and keep putting work in. Next Friday on SmackDown, not only do I expect you to acknowledge me — we’re not talking about you Daniel Bryan, we’re done with you. Go have fun, be a dad, save the world, hug a tree, whatever you want to do — To the WWE Universe, some of them call you that, but to me your mine. You’re my audience and my people. Not only are you going to acknowledge me on Friday, you’re going to thank me.”
