Roman Reigns recently was on the extremely popular Complex program ‘Sneaker Shopping’. For those who haven’t seen the show, it is essentially what you would expect it to be – a celebrity, sports star, or entertainer, in this case Reigns goes to a major sneaker outlet to pick out fashionable Nike’s, Air Jordans and Adidas, while talking about what sneaker culture means to them and how long they’ve been into collecting sneakers and discussing the use of sneakers in media – in Reigns’ case his use of sneakers as being a part of his ring gear and having the best ‘sneakerhead game’ in the WWE. However, during this particular episode, outside of buying typical by the book, Air Jordan’s [such as the Air Jordan Royal Blues] and a bunch of kid’s sneakers for those in his family, Reigns bought a very questionable and downright subjectively ugly shoe. While fashion, like art, is subjective, it is the fact that Reigns paid 1551.50 on a Christmas themed Air Max 90 that is drabbed in red, white and green – we would have thought that ‘The Big Dog’ would have had bigger taste. In other news regarding Roman Reigns, Reigns’ WrestleMania 37 opponent, ‘The Ultimate opportunist Edge recently spoke on The Steve Dangle Podcast to discuss why Edge always wanted to face The Head of the Table’, even while in retirement. The 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble winner made the following comments.
“Roman Reigns. For years I was saying- especially when Jay [Christian] and I had our podcast, he was getting all kinds of flack and I never understood it because I know how talented that guy is. I could see the guy that was in there that wasn’t allowed to come out character-wise. So he was a guy that I always saw and was like ‘Man, what I could do with that guy.” Roman Reigns lost this ‘top star’ in a popular WWE stable.
