WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns often boasts about his stature in WWE. After it was reported that SummerSlam pay-per-view was the successful and “most-viewed” SummerSlam of all time, ‘The Tribal Chief’ is flaunting his contribution as being a needle-mover. The show concluded with Brock Lesnar making his shocking return and had a staredown with Reigns, potentially setting up a feud for the title.

Reigns had previously said Punk isn’t a needle mover. It has been noted AEW Rampage, where Punk made his debut got 1.1 million viewers. WWE issued a press release touting the 2021 SummerSlam event as the most-viewed and highest-grossing SummerSlam event in the 33-year history of the event. Now, Reigns, who headlined the card in a successful title defense against John Cena, has commented on the success of the event touting himself as a needle mover. Reigns had also made remarks about The Rock and John Cena being legitimate needle movers while taking a shot at CM Punk stating who he says he was never as over as he believed he was.
