WWE hosted a jam-packed edition of Friday Night SmackDown this week. It was stacked with matches and segments and it seems certain cuts were needed to be made.
WWE SmackDown was loaded this week, and some segments went short. The Bloodline’s opening segment was very long, but it was also praised backstage. That being said, things needed to be trimmed.
One fan tweeted out to BWE and said, “Brother, that was like 2 seconds, who did Kross did piss off backstage?” They were obviously not happy about the time Karrion Kross’ segment wasa given.
The bona fide WWE insider tweeted back to say, “I literally said no time to fill all of this in two hours. 20 mins went to 40.” It was also noted that, “Opening ate a lot of time. Things will get squeezed and women’s segment might get called off. Will update.”
The biggest highlight of the night and the focus of the program was of course The Bloodline saga. The ongoing storyline has been taking place for years now, and yet fans are arguably more enticed than ever.
Roman Reigns teased giving The Bloodline over to Jey and crowning him The Tribal Chief, but instead low-blowed his cousin. Solo and Roman then brutally assaulted Jimmy, sending him to the hospital. Jey returned after leaving with his twin, viciously attacking them with a chair, and then made a massive challenge. Jey Uso wants to win Roman’s title.
