WWE Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and now AEW star Jon Moxley(Dean Ambrose in WWE) were part of the dominant stable, The Shield back in the day. Recently, Moxley spoke about their attire and how they ended up injuring several stars.

Moxley stated that those boots would often ‘break people’s faces open’ and they eventually decided to change their boots to something lighter.
He said:
“I don’t spend much money on shoes. Like I just want it to fit. And I got a big goofy foot, I wear a fourteen wide so I wore Payless shoes forever just because they always had fourteens. I just want a comfortable pair of shoes man, I’m about function over fashion. Mostly the shoes I wear, I wear Under Armour tactical boots, a pair to work in, a pair for real life and I kinda alternate them. I always – it just seems every few weeks, I Amazon a new one just to make sure I’ve got a fresh pair coming in.”
“That’s what I wrestle in. We started wearing combat boots with The Shield and tried different brands that were lighter. We started out in like these steel-toed mothef*ckers and we were breaking people’s faces open so we found some lighter, more nimble athletic tactical boots.”
Jon Moxley is currently working in AEW while Seth Rollins and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns are top-tier stars in WWE.
