Roman Reigns fires back at Drew McIntyre for commenting on ‘family’

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is set to face the WWE Champion at Survivor Series on November, 22, which will also feature The Undertaker’s Final Farewell. Whether that will be the newly crowned WWE Champion Randy Orton, or the former Champion Drew McIntyre, will be decided in tomorrow’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

Drew McIntyre will clash with Randy Orton yet again for the WWE title, and the winner of the match will face Roman Reigns on Sunday.

Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre engaged in war of words

Drew McIntyre appeared in last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown and had an intense face-off with the Tribal Chief. Jey Uso, who has now sided with his cousin, challenged McIntyre to a match and the latter won the contest quite decisively.

McIntyre went on to tweet what he has in mind later. ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ said that he plans to beat Randy and then come for Roman. He also said that he is forging his own legacy in WWE, as he has no “family to open doors” for him in the company. This was clearly a jab at Reigns, who belongs to the prestigious wrestling family, Samoan Dynasty.

As the Tribal Chief, Reigns now sits at the Head of the Table of his family.

In response to Drew McIntyre’s tweet, Roman Reigns fired back, calling the former out for his “unoriginal excuse”. He had a “free lesson” for McIntyre – “Free lesson for you, Drew. It’s not about getting in the door, it’s about owning the room. Which you’ll never do… while I’m around.”

He also wished the former WWE Champion good luck for his match against Randy Orton.

Paul Heyman reflects on Tribal Chief’s potential opponent

Paul Heyman, who has been by Reigns’ side since his return and heel turn as the Tribal Chief’s ‘special counsel’, appeared on Talking Smack with Kayla Braxton last Friday.

Heyman commented on Reigns’ preparation for Survivor Series, and implied that it would not matter whether the opponent is Drew McIntyre or Randy Orton.

“Roman Reigns is ready for Drew McIntyre, should Drew McIntyre unseat Randy Orton to be the WWE Champion. Roman Reigns is ready for Randy Orton, should Randy Orton successfully defend the title, this Monday on RAW against Drew McIntyre. Whomever walks into Survivor Series, has the second most important championship in WWE, will remain the second most important champion in WWE when they step into the ring in the main event of Survivor Series against the single biggest Superstar in the entire industry today, Roman Reigns.” (H/T Sportskeeda)
