WWE is split right down the middle. Many fans don’t know who the stars of the 90s were and are scratching their heads at those stars popping up every now and again in WWE for a very short amount of time. The other side of the coin sees fans from the 90s happy to see their favorite stars from their childhood still doing the darn thing. As many are aware of, Bray Wyatt was a huge loss to WWE and an even bigger loss to the overall fanbase. Now, what was the cause of this? Could it be possible that WWE cut out Bray in order to fork up the dough needed to get Goldberg to come back to action? Let’s take a dive into this…
Billi Bhatti recently reported on The Nitty Gritty Dirt Show on RussosBrand.com that Bray Wyatt was offered a title match with Bobby Lashley at SummerSlam when he was set to return, with Lashley planned to go over. Bray Wyatt reportedly balked at the creative for a Lashley feud. WWE then ended up releasing Wyatt, and went with Goldberg who was then thrown into Wyatt’s spot.
A very odd series of events indeed. While there is not definitive evidence that Bray was trashed for this reason, it does add to the story.
