Several fans would simply agree that Brock Lesnar is one of the most dominant pro wrestlers to have ever stepped foot inside the squared circle. He had two terrific runs in WWE, both of which saw him winning major World Titles and being a huge draw for fans. Brock Lesnar was not seen on WWE television ever since he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 back in 2020. Brock Lesnar was also previously called out by a Superstar from Monday Night RAW.
After being away from WWE television for over a year, Brock Lesnar returned at WWE SummerSlam in 2021, immediately setting his sights on Roman Reigns. He also sported a ponytail, which was completely different from what fans were used to seeing him in.
Lesnar won the WWE Championship after defeating Big E, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and Bobby Lashley in a Fatal Five-Way match at WWE Day 1. However, he would lose the title to Bobby Lashley last month after Roman Reigns interfered in the match thanks to Paul Heyman turning on The Beast Incarnate.
Lesnar then won the Men’s Royal Rumble match and went on to choose Roman Reigns as his opponent for WrestleMania. He then won the WWE Championship in the WWE Title Elimination Chamber match in Saudi Arabia on February 19th. Lesnar and Reigns will compete against each other in a champion vs champion winner take all title unification match at WrestleMania 38 on Night Two of the event.
According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has an interesting plan after the title unification match at WrestleMania 38.
“The deal here is that it is a unification match and from what I am told, it’s the same idea as the last time they unified the titles. Remember like 2o years ago, 18 years ago when they did, and then like a week later they just handed a belt to Triple H?
I was told that it is not feasible in the modern environment to not have each brand have a champion given the two networks. So this will be a unification match, and then they will, not forget about it, but there will be two champions.”
