Roman Reigns To Wrestle Big Name At Fastlane PPV

On the latest episode of the “Nitty Gritty Dirt Show” on RussosBrand.com, host Billi Bhatti and former WWE writer Vince Russo, discussed how he believes Roman Reigns will be facing off against Shinsuke Nakamura at the upcoming Fastlane WWE pay-per-view, the first show on Peacock. Obviously as we know, the card is subject to change. Wrestling-Edge transcribed Bhatti’s comments below.

Bhatti: “Now, Shinsuke Nakamura is a guy that didn’t get a shot at the Royal Rumble but he already ran the Gauntlet and he already had a match with Jey Uso. You know Shinsuke Nakamura isn’t the [WrestleMania] opponent because Shinsuke Nakamura is going to get a title shot at either Fastlane or Elimination Chamber which we know is going to be the next pay-per-view.

Dave Meltzer didn’t do any groundbreaking journalism or has any sources [regarding this issue]. I can tell you that Shinsuke Nakamura isn’t going to be the opponent even if I didn’t know that Daniel Bryan was the planned at the moment WrestleMania opponent.”

Bhatti continued:

Bhatti: “It wasn’t going to be Shinsuke – you aren’t going to bury him for years, turn him babyface and then put him in for WrestleMania. He’s the guy that pads out the February to March period. Everybody can see that and you don’t have to be a [Dave] Meltzer. a [Bryan] Alvarez or a [Wade] Keller to see that. You just need to have watched wrestling for a few years.”
