Roman Reigns & Vince McMahon In Trouble With WWE

Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 to unify the WWE and Universal Championship. After winning the titles, The Tribal Chief became a part-time superstar and made only sporadic appearances, including title defense at Premium Live Events.

Roman Reigns is nearing on to have a 1,000-day reign as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. It seems that has rubbed some people the wrong way. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H recently announced that WWE Night of Champions will mark the return of the World Heavyweight Championship. Roman Reigns’ hold on the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship has led to this decision, and a new champion will be crowned in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 27.

Vince McMahon and Roman Reigns reportedly received heat

Now, Billi Bhatti recently reported on TheDirtySheets.com that there is heat on Vince McMahon and Roman Reigns in WWE. It has been noted that it is due to McMahon choosing to keep Reigns as champion. Reigns expected to take a 4 month hiatus after losing to Cody Rhodes, but this changed, and now it’s been difficult to get him to show up at WWE shows. Vince chose to create the new world title rather than strip one from Reigns.

Meanwhile, another report from WrestleVotes via GiveMeSport, Vince McMahon pitched several ideas for the event. Check it out:

“I was told that Vince McMahon has pitched several ideas for Roman Reigns’ next challenger. A few of them were even kind of scoffed at, like that doesn’t make any sense.”

The report states that most of McMahon’s picks made no sense, and The Tribal Chief’s next opponent for the titles at Night of Champions 2023 will become clearer after Backlash 2023.
