WWE Superstar Roman Reigns is certainly one of the top Superstars in the company right now and has been on a solid run as the WWE Universal Champion. Roman Reigns is set to defend his title against WWE Hall Of Famer Edge and Daniel Bryan in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 37. He also buried his WrestleMania 37 match.
It turns out WWE did a brief Roman Reigns girlfriend storyline in FCW behind closed doors, before canceling it with a breakup. WWE Superstar Paige recently spoke on Renee Paquette’s Oral Sessions podcast, where she revealed that Dusty Rhodes wanted her character to break up with Roman Reigns during a promo class in Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).
“I was so embarrassed, and then I had to look at him and do this promo, and it was just so bad. The promo the next week, he [Dusty Rhodes] was just like, ‘Okay, baby, here he is again, Leakee, go up there, baby. You’re gonna do another one.’ He was like, ‘Pretend you’re reading a love letter. I wanna see all the emotion in your face, baby.’ So I had to pretend to read a love letter and I was like, ‘Urgh, this is so embarrassing.’ So yeah, that stuff would happen all the time.”
We will have to see if Roman Reigns can retain his Universal Title at WrestleMania 37.
