Ronda Rousey Breaks Silence On Royal Rumble Return

Ronda Rousey has reacted to betting odds stating that she, Rhea Ripley, and Shayna Baszler are most likely to win the WWE Royal Rumble 2021 match. WWE just canceled a major Royal Rumble match.

Rousey tweeted, “Best way to make a profit since r/wallstreetbets did that stuff with GameStop I don’t understand #RoyalRumble2021.” Rousey has not appeared for WWE since losing her women’s title to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35 in April 2019, not even reappearing for a cameo at major shows like Smackdown’s debut on FOX in October 2019.

Rousey only wrestled for WWE for a year, also co-headlining WrestleMania 34, fulfilling just 1/3 of her 3-year contract, which is up soon. Rousey said at the time of her departure that she wanted to start a family, which Becky Lynch has since done with Seth Rollins.

“Ronda’s been very public that she’d like to start her own family,” Stephanie McMahon told TMZ Sports a couple of days ago. “Once she does that, our doors are absolutely open, our arms are open, we are very hopeful that Ronda will come back home to WWE.”

Triple H told TMZ last year, “I think Ronda’s in a place in her personal life where she’s figuring some things out.”

“But, the thing with Ronda is you never know what she is saying. Is she attacking the business really or is she attacking the business because she knows that’s what will light up the fans that love the business?”
