Ronda Rousey Makes Emotional Drug Claim

Former UFC Star and RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey has not been on WWE television since WrestleMania 35, where she lost her title to Becky Lynch in a triple threat match in the main event of the pay-per-view, which also featured Charlotte Flair. Ronda Rousey’s return date was also previously confirmed. 

 


 

Ronda Rousey’s original WWE contract has already expired. As reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ronda Rousey’s WWE contract was set to expire back in April. It is likely the company extended it somehow as the belief is that she will be returning to the company.

American sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson, the gold-medal hopeful in the 100-meter race at the Tokyo Olympics, was suspended by the United States Anti-Doping Association for testing positive for marijuana at the Olympic trials in June. While she took to Good Morning America to apologize for her actions Friday morning, many of her pro athlete peers decided to come to her defence after the news.

This included Ronda Rousey, who took to Twitter and showed her support for Richardson.

Cannabis isn’t a performance enhancing drug – it’s tested for entirely political reasons and no sport governing body has the right to force athletes to conform to their political ideals – so sorry you had your dream stolen from you,
