Ronda Rousey may extend her WWE stay

When Ronda Rousey initially joined World Wrestling Entertainment, the consensus was that it would be a short-term stint and give Rousey an experience she has always wanted.

With SummerSlam and her first WWE Raw Women’s title match against Alexa Bliss only days away, Rousey has revealed she may want to stick around a little bit longer.

She had the following to say to Ramona Shelburne via

“I love this way more than I ever thought I would,”

“We had a set timeline set, and now we aren’t so sure about it because I love it so much,” she said. “I guess that’s the best thing that could’ve happened, that I would love it so much, it would be so hard to stop. I can see why people have a hard time leaving this industry because it’s such a joy to be a part of every day.”

Rousey is likely to main event WWE’s Evolution pay-per-view in October and has already set her sights on headlining a future WrestleMania pay-per-view, so how long do you guys think her pro wrestling career will last?

2 years tops, she wants a kid and has money.

    Mainstream Publicity off her name.

I give her 3 years, total. So 2020 is when i think she’ll be done. This year was to build her up. Next year they’ll make her a beast and dominate the competition, which will be the lead up to co-headlining WM in 2020 and leaving shortly thereafter.

Their not the Four Horsewomen so no, I don’t think so.

Do you really think the likes of Bliss, Jax, Fox, James and whoever else get a choice in whether they lay down for her or not?

  • oppa

WWE had to report that she’s in it for the long haul to get people to agree to lay down for her. For her to main event ppv’s over Natalya or the Four Horsewomen of WWE, it had to be presented that she was in it to win it. But she’s been open about not having a long shelf life and Ric Flair probably told the truth a few months ago. My guess is you won’t see her vs Sasha much for this reason.

Same as Punk. He got to live out his dream because of his name somewhere else. With her, she’s made it public that she loves her husband and wants to be a mom. Time is ticking so she’ll milk this before becoming a mom. WWE will bypass everyone else to get ESPN to cover her, then be left holding the bag when she leaves. But at least she’s a fan and shows up each week, unlike Brock.

Hold on, all the stories we had read before on this site were that she was in this for the long haul.
Now suddenly its “the consensus is it would be a short term stint”.

She better stay. Or else why even bother sighning in the first place?
