Ronda Rousey named PWI’s #1 in the “Women’s 100”

There is no denying the year that Ronda Rousey has had in WWE since debuting at Wrestlemania 34. Now, the Raw Women’s Champion has been named the top woman in Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s “Women’s 100”.

The list, which is based on kayfabe wins and losses mostly, has been published since 2008 from PWI. Since debuting at Mania this past April, Rousey has competed in ten televised matches and is a perfect 10-0. She won the Raw Women’s Title at Summerslam in just her fourth match with the company.

While arguments can obviously be made for other female competitors, such as Becky Lynch, there is no woman who has been more dominant in pro wrestling than The Baddest Woman on the Planet.

Below is the tweet from PWI congratulating Ronda on her achievement:

  • Nicholas Giambattista

It all a set up for Charlotte Flair to beat Ronda Rousey at WM 35.

  • Rinn13

    What a joke.

  • MT McGee

Regardless of whether or not you think her push is warranted or if you
think she is too lacking in the ring, no female has had a better year in
    wrestling.

10 televised matches in 7 months … yeah, that is great isn’t it. Really goes to show how someone can come in on name alone and get a sweet deal like that, where as the true talent like Lynch have to wrestle week in week out. As much as women like Flair and guys like Reigns split fans down the middle as far as popularity go, at least they wrestle regularly as well.
