Ronda Rousey reveals the “absolute worst” part of wrestling in WWE

Ronda Rousey was last seen inside the squared circle at WrestleMania 35, where she and Charlotte Flair lost their respective titles to Becky Lynch in the historic all-women’s main event. She has not been seen on WWE television since then.

In these one and a half years, there have been multiple rumors of Ronda Rousey’s return. She herself has shared pictures of training and hinted at possible comebacks.

Ronda Rousey recently spoke to Digital Spy as part of promotional campaign for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. In the interview, ‘Rowdy’ revealed the one thing about WWE that she definitely does not miss, now that she is out of the ring.

Ronda Rousey reveals the hardest part of wrestling

Being a WWE Superstar has its share of perks, but it also comes with a cost. It is an open secret how much WWE Superstars put their bodies on the line to put up the performances for the fans. The bumps they take and the schedules they keep take long-term toll on their health.

Ronda Rousey detailed her experience of the same, saying that travelling and body pain were two of the worst things she had to face while wrestling in WWE.

“I love wrestling but I think it was maybe Sarah Rowe (Sarah Logan in WWE) who told me this, she wrestles for free but they pay her to travel. The hardest part I think was just not being able to lay down horizontally, you know. Taking a bunch of hard bumps, your back hurts and you just want to lay down. All I wanted to do between shows is lay down with my legs up and travelling you’re just sitting upright all the time and my back would kill me. So the actual act of travelling I do not miss it all, it was the absolute worse.”

Rousey also stated that her bottom vertebrae is broken in half, and it is possibly for taking bumps after bumps in WWE, and travelling on a broken back. If she is back to the ring anytime soon, she would not miss her “extra-firm Tempur-Pedic mattress”.

Ronda Rousey’s current WWE contract expires two weeks from WrestleMania 37, on April 10, 2021. Whether she has signed a new contract or not is still not known.
