Rumor killer on participants for men’s Elimination Chamber match

WWE recently released local advertisements in Philadelphia that might have spoiled the participants for the men’s Elimination Chamber match.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that the six names that have been announced so far for Elimination Chamber are simply a temporary line-up meant to “sell tickets.” He pointed out that the winner of the match is most likely to be Roman Reign, who will then go on to face Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania. This means that Roman Reigns will obviously be in the match, but the other spots could change easily, and Meltzer, in particular, thinks Bobby Roode may not actually be on the card.

WWE required names for the Elimination Chamber in order to interest fans in Philadelphia, so that they will buy tickets. WWE can always change who are advertised for the event as the card is likely to change at any time.

Rumors suggest that Roman Reigns will win the Chamber match and go on to face The Fiend for the Universal Title at Wrestlemania 36.
