Samoa Joe has been out of action for a while due to a knee injury he suffered back in late August though he is expected to return to the ring within the new few weeks and so rumors about his possible opponent have already begun.
During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about the possible opponent for the Samoan Submission Machine upon his return.
Answering to the question, Meltzer speculated that Braun Strowman could be the possible opponent for Joe as he is the only star who doesn’t appear to have an active feud going on at this moment.
Though it’s worth noting here that the former NXT Champion was originally expected to have a feud with the Intercontinental Champion the Miz before his injury.
Given the recent reports about Strowman replacing Miz in the feud against the Shield, it’s still possible that WWE will go with their original plans and put Samoa Joe against the IC Champion when he comes back.
