Rusev back in the casket match?

Rusev was removed from his match at the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 12 after Lana demanded the WWE to do so. The Ravishing Russian stated that she refused to allow her husband to be involved in a Casket Match with the Undertaker.

Since then, rumors have been flying around debating Rusev’s status with the company. It was believed that before his US Championship shot at WrestleMania 34, Rusev was considering leaving the WWE. Since being replaced by Chris Jericho in the Casket Match, he has removed any references to the WWE from his social media.

Rusev’s story over the past year has been quite odd. On several occasions, it was believed that he was either leaving the company or on his way to a main event push. Since joining Aiden English and starting Rusev Day, he’s become one of the best merch sellers on the WWE Shop, yet he’s been relegated to, basically, the bottom of the card, minus his US Title opportunity at Mania.

While it’s assumed to be a work, this whole situation is incredibly strange, and it has gotten even weirder. Lana has now decided to allow Rusev to participate in the match at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

It seems that Lana believes she made a mistake beforehand and is willing to allow the Bulgarian Brute to fight the Undertaker. WWE responded to this, stating that Rusev and The Undertaker will indeed fight each other in a Casket Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

At the moment, no one knows if this has all been some ploy by the WWE, or if Jericho was actually supposed to fight the Undertaker. To be honest, this has been quite a confusing story, and it gets stranger every day.
