WWE had announced a few weeks ago that six men were to partake in the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match at Super ShowDown. AJ Styles, R-Truth, Andrade, Erik Rowan, Bobby Lashley, and Rusev were the names booked for this match.
However, it seems like Rusev has been taken out of this match for some reason. The graphic for the match featured Rey Mysterio in place of the Bulgarian Brute on this week’s RAW.
WWE even took mentioned Mysterio’s name in place of The Bulgarian Brute in a tweet hyping the match.

These developments are rather surprising and especially because Rusev is reportedly in negotiations with the company over a contract dispute. It is also to be noted that Rusev has not inked a new deal with the company yet.
