RVD reveals he recently talked to WWE

Former ECW Champion Rob Van Dam was recently interviewed by  Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated. Below are some of the highlights from his interview:

During the interview, RVD was asked about a possible WWE return, replying to which he revealed that he has shows booked over the course of next 12 months, but said that there is always a possibility:

“I’m looking at 24 matches, all international, booked over the next 12 months. I don’t have any plans to share, but there is always a possibility of a return.”

Continuing on the topic, the former Champion revealed that he recently talked to WWE thought it was only regarding a new video game and said that it was more of a business talk:

I’ve talked to WWE recently, but it’s about the new video games that are coming out. That was more of a business talk about that, but when the business is right and it’s the right time to go back, that, of course, is then always a possibility.”

RVD last appeared on WWE Programming back in August 2014. After his contract with the company expired the former Champion returned to the independent circuit ad he has been active there ever since.

I do think WWE would have him back no problem, but the biggest roadblock is the schedule he would want.
They did it last time and it was all a bit of a let down as with the amount of dates he was contracted for, they really could not do much with him. Also, even if he did come back, I would be very surprised if he was anything more than enhancement talent.
