Ryback reveals nixed WrestleMania return plans for late Hall Of Famer

It was an emotional moment for all his fans when the Ultimate Warrior made his WWE return and was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame class of 2014, just a day before WrestleMania 30.

Sadly the wrestling legend passed away just a few later after his HOF induction and till date, people wonder what it would have been like if Warrior would have gotten a chance to make his in-ring return too.

During the latest episode of Conversation With The Big Guy podcast, former WWE Superstar Ryback revealed that the company actually had plans for Warrior’s in ring return.

According to the former WWE star, the early drafts for WrestleMania 30 called for the Ultimate Warrior to return to the ring in a match against Ryback himself:

“Mark Carrano actually had showed me the WrestleMania card early. They kind of have an idea of what they want to do, obviously, ahead of time, and they had on it Ryback versus Ultimate Warrior. And I just said, ‘cool. I didn’t know what kind of shape he was in, if he could wrestle or not, but I 100 percent would have done it, because I did everything that they asked me there.”

Unfortunately, this match never happened and Ryback went on to be a part of a Fatal Four-Way Elimination tag team match at the pre-show of the event where he ended up on the losing side.

One can only speculate why the company nixed the plans for Warrior’s return but the most likely reason for it appears to be Warrior’s health.
