After 10 months on the bench, Sami Zayn has finally made his long-awaited return to the WWE.
At the RAW after WrestleMania 35, Zayn walked down to the ring in his usual demeanor. Zayn received a huge applause from the WWE Universe in attendance.

Upon returning, Zayn said that his schedule was wide open and that he wanted to fight someone right away. At first, no one answered Zayn’s challenge but then the music hit and out came the new Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor.
It was then announced that the match between Balor and Zayn would be for the Intercontinental Championship.
Although Zayn put up a valiant effort against Balor, he came up short and Balor retained his title. After the match, Zayn, who had been a babyface for the entirety of his match, revealed that he is still a heel.
Zayn went on to cut a great heel promo on the audience in the Barclays Center. However, he was still heavily cheered as he left the ring.
