At WWE Elimination Chamber, Sami Zayn won the WWE Intercontinental Championship and in doing so, the Canadian superstar marked his first major title win on the main roster.
Following his historic pinfall win over Braun Strowman at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, Zayn took to Twitter and sent a heartfelt message to all those who have supported him throughout his journey.
As noted, the new Intercontinental Champion’s message concluded with him thanking the ones who stuck with him on what he described as a “crazy ride”.

With Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro by his side, Zayn successfully defeated Strowman in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match to win the IC Championship. The win also marked Zayn’s first title win in WWE since he captured the NXT Championship back in 2014 at NXT TakeOver: R Evolution.
With this win, Zayn is now expected to head into WrestleMania 36 as the new WWE Intercontinental Champion and it remains interesting to be seen whom he defends his newly won title against.
