Samoa Joe ‘Rejects’ AEW For Surprising Reason

Samoa Joe was among the several WWE Superstars who were recently let go by the company. Among the Superstars released included Peyton Royce, Billie Kay, Mojo Rawley and others. Many fans were simply shocked at WWE releasing Samoa Joe, who had become a staple as part of the WWE commentary team for over a year now. Finn Balor also previously leaked a major update on Bray Wyatt.

His last appearance was at WrestleMania 37 as he worked alongside Michael Cole and announced both Night One and Two of WrestleMania 37. That all changed once Samoa Joe made his return back in June to NXT. Eventually, Samoa Joe won the NXT Championship in his in-ring return after he defeated Karrion Kross for the title at the NXT TakeOver 36 special last week.

Samoa Joe recently spoke to So Catch by Hal 2, where he revealed that he is not really interested in the ‘Forbidden Door’ of AEW and NJPW.

“I work for a company. If I played for a major football club, you wouldn’t lend me out on the weekend to go play for the rival team. Messi’s ain’t doing day shifts over at Manchester United. I understand some fans want for that and they want to see that, but at the same time, just with the whole politics of that type of situation, it wouldn’t be a good outcome anyways. Nobody wants to look bad in that situation, everyone’s getting pushed and pulled in a certain way and it becomes a convoluted mess.

If guys want to show and get down with Samoa Joe, get on my level, they come find me and let’s do this. I ain’t making house calls right now.”
