Samoa Joe talks about the locker room environment on Raw and SmackDown

The Samoan Submission Machine made his much-anticipated debut on the main roster prior to WrestleMania 33 on the red brand and was a constant presence on the show until his switch to SmackDown during the superstar shake-up. Joe compared the backstage environment of the two brands in an interview with Sportskeeda. Joe said:

“Well.. backstage, I do my own thing and have my own spots in the locker room so environmentally it’s not very different for me. But, the backstage environments are vastly different, but that is mainly because of the personalities. You’ve got some very unique individuals in the WWE and it’s a completely different nexus on Smackdown than it is on RAW.”

The 39-year-old also went on to reveal which NXT talent might make it big on the main roster. Joe stated:

“I think Aleister Black is a good bet, then there is velveteen dream. There is a great crop of talent, and some of the newer guys are picking up well.”

Samoa Joe is slated to face AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at Summerslam.
